The column length indicator is a point-and-figure chart indicator developed by Prashant Shah.

The indicator is designed using the X, O, and vertical column properties of the Point & Figure chart.

Length of the column in the P&F charts shows the strength of the trend. Column having high number of boxes is a strong column having more activity. It shows that the trend and momentum of the pattern is strong.

For this indicator, the length of each column is plotted as a line chart below the price chart.

The rising indicator indicates that column length is increasing.

The system builder provides access to this indicator. In trading strategies, it can be used as a confirmation tool.
