The PIVOT indicator is one of the most popular calculations followed by traders. Based on pivot calculations of the stock, support and resistance levels are plotted on the chart on intraday and end of day timeframes.
A pivot table calculation can also be used to analyse a group of stocks. The pivot lines can be plotted in Zone Web and TradePoint for EOD and intraday timeframes, as well as displayed in tabular format on a group of stocks.
Based on the pivot calculation of the previous day’s range, the PIVOT indicator plots the support and resistance lines on each candle. By using it, we are able to analyse the pivot bands of support and resistance on a chart.
When the PIVOT indicator is plotted, two lines are drawn on the chart.
Support is indicated by the green line, while resistance is indicated by the red line.
