The Laidback Strategy

Let’s address the elephant in the room.

Most investors believe investing is about balance sheets, earnings calls, and macro predictions. That’s one way to play the game. But there’s another path, one that focuses purely on price behavior.

Because at the end of the day – news, fundamentals, expectations, everything gets reflected in price and bhav bhagwan che.

This is where technical analysis-based investing comes in.

Investing Without the Noise

Technical investing is not about predicting the future. It’s about responding to what the market is confirming.

Instead of asking: “Is this company fundamentally strong?”

You ask: “Is the market consistently rewarding this stock?”

And that shift changes everything.

Because a good blue-chip and fundamentally strong company can underperform benchmark index for over a year.

You are no longer trying to be the smartest analyst in the room. You are simply aligning with what is trending.

The Laidback Strategy is built on a simple belief:

Most investors operate on noise. This strategy operates on weekly conviction.

It uses just one tool:

RSI (100 period) on weekly charts

That’s it.

But don’t mistake simplicity for weakness. A 100-period RSI on weekly timeframe is slow, powerful, and deliberate. It ignores short-term chaos and focuses only on sustained strength.

The Rules (Clean and Executable)

The stock basket is Nifty 500.

Entry Rules:

  • Weekly RSI (100) closes above 55
  • Enter trade on Monday morning

Exit Rules:

  • Weekly RSI (100) closes below 45
  • OR price hits 62-week low

No indicators stacking. No second guessing.

You can backtest the strategy in RZone. The strategy has positive expectancy with manageable drawdowns.
