Narrow range column is when the length or number of boxes in the column is less than the earlier column. It indicates that the swing move is shorter than the previous column.
This pattern helps if you want to look for columns that have a narrow range compared to the previous n number of columns. N is refers to the number of columns you can choose.
For example, if you are searching for the narrowest column range in the last 4 columns, this pattern helps. Narrowest range in the last 4-column shows that the swing length is low after a series of high swing moves.
This pattern can be plotted on the chart by adding it from the study menu in TradePoint & RZone. The pattern is also available in the system builder section. By combining this pattern with other patterns and indicators, you can create your own trading strategies. For any group of stocks and market segments, you can scan and backtest stocks based on those strategies.
