ABCD – Bearish

ABCD is a popular harmonic pattern for trading reversals. Renko ABCD is an attempt to make that pattern objective considering the advantage of objectivity offered by Renko bricks.

ABCD is a three-leg pattern, with AB being first move, BC the second, and CD the third.

In the bearish Renko ABCD pattern:

  • AB is a bearish swing move
  • BC is a corrective move with fewer bricks than AB; and the low at Point C is higher than Point A.
  • CD is also a series of bullish bricks which is exactly equal to the number of bricks in AB.
  • CD is followed by bullish brick reversal.

It is a bearish trend reversal pattern.

This pattern is developed by Definedge and explained in the book on Renko charts by Prashant Shah.
