Referral Incentive Scheme Policy

Policy Brief & Purpose

This policy outlines the key aspects of the Referral Incentive Scheme (“Referral Incentive”) offered by Definedge Securities Broking Private Limited (“Definedge Securities”) for referring prospective clients to open a Demat & Trading Account.

Eligibility for Referral Incentive

  • All active Definedge Securities Demat account holders are eligible to participate in the Referral Incentive Scheme.
  • Each eligible client has a unique referral link available on:
    • MyAccount Dashboard → Referral Home
    • Zone Mobile App → Home (Footer section)
  • The referrer will earn 101 reward and 10% brokerage share for every successful referral.
  • A referral is considered valid and eligible for rewards only when the referred client:
    • Opens a Demat & Trading Account using the referrer’s unique link.
    • Downloads and logs in to the Zone Mobile App within 30 days of account opening
    • Places at least one trade from the Zone Mobile App within 30 days of account opening 
  • Referrals once mapped to a Client ID/UCC cannot be transferred to another client. 
  • Only individual clients can refer individual accounts. (NRI, HUF, Joint, Corporate, LLP, and Trust accounts are not eligible.) 

Conditions

  • The prospective client must open a Definedge Securities Demat account using the referrer’s unique link, which is automatically linked to the referrer’s Client ID/UCC.
  • Referrals once linked to a Client ID/UCC cannot be transferred to another client. 
  • Individual clients may not refer non-individual accounts (e.g., Joint, NRI, HUF, Corporate, Partnership/LLP, Trust accounts). 

How the Referral Incentive is Paid

1. Reward Credit

  • Upon completing all referral conditions, the referrer will receive: 
    • ₹101, credited directly to the referrer’s Definedge Securities ledger account
    • Reward will be credited in the first week of every month 

2. Usage of ₹101 Reward Credit:

    The ledger credit can be:
  • Adjusted against brokerage, or 
  • Used toward other eligible account-related charges as per Definedge Securities’ standard policies 
    • (Note: Reward credit usage does not apply toward PRO products or AMC under the new policy.)

2. Brokerage Share (10%)

  • The referrer will receive 10% brokerage sharing based on the brokerage generated from the referred client’s trading activity.
  • The brokerage share is credited monthly to the registered bank account of the referrer. 
  • Brokerage sharing continues as long as: 
    • The referred client continues trading, and 
    • The Referral Incentive Scheme remains active

Important Information for Referrers

Compliance with Regulations

  • Referrers must not be restricted from conducting business under SEBI or any recognized stock exchange rules (NSE, BSE, MCX, etc.). 
  • Participation implies understanding and acceptance of the relevant exchange bye-laws and incentive rules. 

Referral Incentive Terms

  • The referral incentive applies only to the act of introducing new clients.
  • It does not include financial advisory, stock recommendations, portfolio management, or inducements.
  • Referral incentives must not be shared with the referred client as an inducement to open an account.

Marketing & Promotion Guidelines

  • Referral links must not be posted on public forums, spam groups, or social media without proper context or permission.
  • Creating promotional content, marketing materials, or acting as an agent of Definedge requires prior written approval.
  • All promotional activity must comply with applicable stock exchange and SEBI regulations.

Eligibility Restrictions

The following individuals are not eligible to participate as referrers:

  • Trading Members of any recognized exchange
  • Employees, referral partners, introducers, Authorized Persons, or Sub-brokers of any Trading Member
  • Employees of Definedge Securities or its associate companies
  • Relatives of employees of Definedge Securities

General Terms

  • Client-specific information such as contract notes, margin statements, or account statements will not be shared with referrers.
  • Referral incentives will be credited within a reasonable time frame.
  • Definedge Securities reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Incentive Scheme at its sole discretion.

Indemnification

Referrers must comply with all applicable laws, exchange rules, SEBI regulations, and Definedge policies. 
Definedge Securities, its directors, agents, and employees cannot be held liable for any breach, and the referrer agrees to indemnify them for any claims arising from non-compliance. 

Policy Updates

Definedge Securities may amend or update this policy at any time based on business or regulatory requirements. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Policy Brief & Purpose

This policy explains the key aspects of the Referral Incentive Scheme (“Referral Incentive”) for referring prospective clients to open a Demat and Trading Account with Definedge Securities Broking Private Limited (“Definedge Securities”).

Eligibility for Referral Incentive

  • All Definedge Securities Demat account holders are eligible to receive referral incentives for referring friends, family members or other prospective clients.
  • Each Demat account holder has a unique referral link, which can be found on their MyAccount dashboard.
  • The referrer will earn a 10% incentive on the revenue generated by their referrals’ trades for each client who opens a Definedge Securities Demat account using their referral link, till such time that Definedge Securities continues this Referral Incentive Scheme, provided the following conditions are met:
    • The prospective client must use the referral link to open their Definedge Securities Demat account. This account will be mapped to the referrer’s Client ID/UCC.
    • Referred clients from one Client ID/UCC are not transferable to another Client ID/UCC.
    • Individual clients cannot refer non-individual accounts (e.g., Joint, NRI, HUF, Corporate, Partnership/LLP, Trust accounts).

How the Referral Incentive is Paid? 

  • For every client that successfully opens a Definedge Securities Demat account using the referrer’s unique referral link and starts trading, the referrer will earn a 10% incentive on the revenue generated by their trades.
  • This incentive will be credited as a payout directly to the bank account linked to the referrer’s UCC (Unique Client Code) trading account.
  • Payout will be done on monthly basis.

Undertaking by Referrer

I/We, having a trading account with Definedge Securities Broking Private Limited (“Definedge Securities”), hereby agree to and declare the following points concerning receiving referral incentives:
  1. Compliance with Regulations
    • I/We confirm that I/We are not restricted from conducting business under the rules, bye-laws, and regulations of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), or any other SEBI-recognized stock exchange.
    • I/We have read and understood the byelaws, incentives/referral schemes rules, and marketing/incentives rules of the respective exchanges.
    • I/We acknowledge that both Definedge Securities and I/We are bound by these rules when receiving referral incentives.
  2. Referral Incentive Terms
    • I/We confirm that I/We have read NSE Circular NSE/INSP/43029 dated December 26, 2019, understand all its terms, and agree that any disputes under this scheme will be resolved directly with Definedge Securities and cannot be referred to NSE’s Investor Grievance Panel.
    • I/We understand that the referral incentive is strictly for referring new clients only. I/We have not engaged in financial advisory, stock tips, portfolio management, or any other trading-related activities.
    • I/We will not share the referral incentive received with the referred client as an incentive for opening the account.
  3. Marketing and Promotion Restrictions
    • I/We will not post the referral link in public forums, spam groups, or social media pages without context.
    • I/We will not publish marketing materials, advertisements, or act as an agent of Definedge Securities without written permission from Definedge Securities.
    • I/We understand that publishing any promotional material requires permission/intimation to stock exchanges.
  4. Eligibility Confirmation
    • I/We confirm that I/We am/are not a Trading Member on any recognized stock exchange.
    • I/We am/are not an employee, referral partner, introducer, Authorized Person, or Sub-broker of any other Trading Member.
    • I/We am/are not an employee of Definedge Securities or its associate/group entity and not a relative of an employee of Definedge Securities.
  5. General Terms
    • I/We acknowledge that details of referred clients, such as contract notes, daily margin statements, and account statements, will not be shared with me/us without the referred client’s consent.
    • I/We understand that the referral incentive will be credited only after verifying the referred client’s trades within reasonable working days.
    • I/We acknowledge that Definedge Securities reserves the right to withhold or terminate incentives at its sole discretion for any reason.
  6. Indemnification
    • I/We agree to indemnify Definedge Securities, its directors, agents, and employees against any claims or damages arising from my/our non-compliance with the rules of stock exchanges, SEBI regulations, and Definedge Securities’ policies.
  7. Policy Changes
    • I/We understand that this referral policy may be changed at any time by Definedge Securities or as per regulatory requirements. I/We agree to abide by any future changes without objection.

Final Declaration

I/We hereby declare that:
  • The above information is true and correct.
  • If any details are found to be false, Definedge Securities has the right to recover the entire incentive paid to me/us.
  • I/We accept that Definedge Securities reserves all rights to withhold any referral incentive at its sole discretion.

Note: This policy is subject to revision at the sole discretion of Definedge Securities or as required by regulatory changes

Open Demat Account
