What are the features of TradePoint PRO?

Can I get a free trial for TradePoint PRO?

By opening a Definedge Securities demat account, you get a chance to avail a one-month free trial for all our PRO products (including TradePoint PRO). How to use TradePoint?

How to execute trade on TradePoint?

To place a buy/sell order on TradePoint, your chosen scrip must be added to your MarketWatch.
Select the ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ option from the Market drop-down and add the required details (like Trading symbol, price, quantity, order types) and click on the ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ option to place your order.

How to create a watchlist on TradePoint?

You can create watchlists under MarketWatch on TradePoint. You can either pick from the already created groups or create your own watchlist. To understand how to create a watchlist, check the ‘MarketWatch’ section on our user guide.

How many indicators are available in TradePoint?

You can choose from 120+ indicators with TradePoint. To add an indicator, open the chart for any scrip and click on Add Study to add the indicators and patterns or tools of your choice.

How many charting types does TradePoint offer?

You get many options under the Charts drop-down on TradePoint including Kagi Charts, P&F, Renko, OHLC, Line-break, Heikin-Ashi, and more. 

Just click on ‘Chart’ on your TradePoint top-bar to view all the options.

Which scanners are available in TradePoint?

TradePoint offers numerous scanners segregated into EOD scanners, real-time scanners, smart scanners, and indicator digger. You can access them under the ‘Scanner’ drop-down on TradePoint.  

Please note that Scanners is a TradePoint PRO feature.

Can I backtest trading strategies on TradePoint?

Yes, strategy backtesting is a prominent feature of TradePoint. Under Backtesting, you can analyze your strategies for OHLC, P&F, Line break, Heikin-Ashi, Renki charts and create your own system for better analysis. To access Backtesting feature of TradePoint, click on the ‘Backtesting’ option on the top-bar and select your preferred option from the drop-down menu. 

Please note that Backtesting is a TradePoint PRO feature.

Does TradePoint offer real-time market data?

Yes, you can view real-time market data for any scrip on TradePoint.

What are the trading fees associated with TradePoint?

When you trade with any Definedge Seccurities trading terminal, there is no charge for delivery, for derivatives & intraday, the charges are ₹18 per delivery. To know more about our brokerage plans & trading charges, click here.

Can I place orders on TradePoint after market hours?

Yes, TradePoint gives you the option to place After Market Orders (AMO) from the terminal. 

To place an AMO, choose the order type from the Market drop-down and check the AMO checkbox when placing the order.

How does System builder work in TradePoint?

System Builder is a unique tool that allows you to create your own trading system to sort through stocks and recognize potentially beneficial trading and investment opportunities. You can find System Builder under the Backtesting drop-down on TradePoint and use it to create your own system.

Can I maintain a trading journal on TradePoint?

Yes, TradePoint allows you to maintain a trade wise trading journal on your terminal. You can find ‘Trading Journal’ under the ‘Journal’ drop-down menu on TradePoint. To create an entry on your journal, add the details of your trade along with your comments and click on Add. 

Please note that Trading Journal is a TradePoint PRO feature.

What are the backtesting features in TradePoint?

Backtesting is an important feature of TradePoint. Under Backtesting, you can analyze your strategies for OHLC, P&F, Line break, Heikin-Ashi, Renki charts and create your own system for better analysis. 

To access Backtesting feature of TradePoint, click on the ‘Backtesting’ option on the top-bar and select your preferred option from the drop-down menu.

How can I check my holdings on TradePoint?

To check your Holdings on TradePoint, you can go to ‘Reports’ on the top-bar and select ‘Holdings’ under the drop-down menu. You can also use the shortcut ‘Alt+F9’ to view your Holdings on TradePoint. 

Are matrix tables available on TradePoint?

Yes, TradePoint offers Price, Volume, OI, Ratio studies matrix tables with a variety of options like Price-OI matric, price-volume matrix, P&F matrix, Renko matrix and more. 

Please note that Matrix is a TradePoint PRO feature.

Can I save a session on TradePoint?

Yes, you can save your current trading sessions on TradePoint. 

To save a session, click on ‘Save Session’ under the ‘File’ drop-down menu. You can access your saved sessions from the ‘Open Session’ option.

What does the market analytics feature offer?

The Market Analytics feature of the TradePoint Desktop terminal offers a list of top gainers and losers for that day along with the previous close, percentage change and traded volume of the scrips. 

You can find Market Analytics under the Reports drop-down on TradePoint.

Can I apply for an IPO with TradePoint?

Yes, TradePoint gives you the option to apply for an IPO under the Reports drop-down. Once you click on IPO, you will have to provide an OTP (received on your registered mobile number) for verification and then you can apply for any IPO, view available IPOs, past applications, and more.

Which features of TradePoint Desktop are free to use?

All the basic features like order placement for NSE, NFO, BSE, MCX and Currency along with basic charts with basic version of TradePoint desktop Trading Terminal. For further details click here.

How do I track my portfolio or holdings on TradePoint Desktop trading terminal?

Log in to your TradePoint Desktop trading terminal and go to Reports → Holdings.

Are Scanners free on TradePoint desktop trading terminal?

No, scanner feature comes with Pro version of TradePoint Desktop Trading Terminal. For further details click here.

Can I get a demo or trial of TradePoint, RZone, and Opstra?

Demo videos for trading terminal(s) are not available, however, you can opt for 30 day trial for all
